Blackbird Advisors is led by principal broker Matt Mummert.

 

Matt graduated from Long Island University, Brooklyn, Magna Cum Laude in 2015 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science & History. Matt played Division I soccer for the LIU Blackbirds and captained the team his junior and senior seasons. He also is an IBM Watson Fellowship recipient, and spent his college summers working in NYC Parks Department Press Office, Shearman + Sterling's Real Global Real Estate Department, and social entrepreneurship NGO NESsT in Lima Peru.

 

Matt graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2018 and obtained bar admission to the New York State Bar in 2019. While attending law school, he performed pro bono work representing and advising HDFC's in refinancing matters and other real estate transactions such as unit sales and commercial leases. Matt began working for Samco Properties during the summer of his first year of law school, and continued working for the firm full time while attending law school at night full time.

 

In addition to his duties with Blackbird Advisors, Matt holds the position as the Head of Real Estate for HelloFresh North America, the largest grocery delivery company in the world. Recently, HelloFresh opened the second largest commercial kitchen in the United States in Goodyear, Arizona, which totals the size of 6 football fields.
